Collectif d'actifs en innovation (CAI) and 2 Degrés join forces to strengthen the intellectual property of Quebec companies

October 9, 2025

The Collectif d'actifs en innovation and 2 Degrés today announced a partnership aimed at providing Quebec companies in the cleantech sector with an intellectual property (IP) toolbox essential to their successful development.

This collaboration enables entrepreneurs supported by 2 Degrés to become members of the CAI in order to gain access to intellectual property programs designed to support their in-house IP capabilities.

This partnership will enable start-ups to acquire basic IP knowledge, and growth-stage teams to benefit from strategic support in this area.

"We're very excited about our collaboration with CAI, which will enable us to better support our cleantech startups in terms of intellectual property. By strengthening our expertise in intellectual property, we're giving them the means to consolidate and protect their innovations," said Rosalie Simard, Director of Projects and Partnerships at 2 Degrés.

"By collaborating with 2 Degrés, we're giving Quebec companies in the cleantech sector the tools they need to use IP as an engine for growth, not just a means of protection," said Ashley Hobb, Vice-President of External Relations at CAI.

CAI brings national experience in implementing business-focused IP programs, including access to financing, IP insurance, IP training, IP intelligence and a cleantech patent portfolio.

2 Degrés, a key player in Quebec's cleantech ecosystem, accompanies, supports and propels cleantech projects and startups at the pre-launch stage through its personalized and specialized coaching programs. Thanks to a dedicated community of entrepreneurs, partners and investors, 2 Degrés fosters collaboration, access to resources and outreach for innovative, high-impact projects.
