Our innovation programs mobilize governmental, academic, industrial and entrepreneurial players around a single objective: to stimulate innovation and create an environment conducive to the creation of concrete solutions tailored to market needs.
Calls for innovation
Innovation programs to meet the environmental challenges facing Quebec industry
Over the past few years, we have developed and deployed innovation programs with key partners, in order to respond to concrete challenges and accelerate the emergence of clean technology solutions.
RECYC-QUÉBEC
2 Degrés, in collaboration with RECYC-QUÉBEC, has launched an innovation program to accelerate the ecological transition in the residual materials sector. The program aims to find solutions to concrete industry challenges, in the textiles, construction, renovation and demolition (CRD) residues and energy transition materials sectors.
Port of Québec
2 Degrés, in collaboration with the Port of Quebec, has launched several innovation programs to accelerate the ecological transition in the maritime sector. These programs aim to find solutions to concrete challenges faced by the port industry.
Structure of Calls for Innovations
A 4-phase support program designed to strengthen your skills and market fit.
Through our innovation programs, we offer specialized support based on four progressive phases designed to strengthen entrepreneurs' capabilities, refine their projects and maximize their chances of success.
These phases are common to all our innovation programs.
The program lasts from 3 to 12 months, depending on the company's development and its suitability for the market.
01
Preparation and exploration
Establish a solid relationship between 2 Degrés and the incubated company by thoroughly understanding the entrepreneurs' vision and needs. Design a personalized support plan based on the diagnostic meeting and define relevant OKRs to guide their progress. If no prototype exists, support technological development. Structure an ambitious but realistic pilot project proposal, adapted to the partner's requirements.
02
Planning and validation
Present the pilot project proposal and resource requirements (human, financial, infrastructure, etc.) to the partner. Engage in constructive discussions with the partner to adjust the project in line with the recommendations, identify the steps to be taken (authorizations, certifications, requirements for premises or port expertise, etc.) and remove any obstacles to implementation. Finalize, if necessary, the development of the prototype with a view to deployment.
03
R&D and pilot project
Continuing research and development to optimize the solution on an ongoing basis. Refine functionality and performance through an iterative approach. Collect and analyze data to validate improvements, measure impact and adjust strategy accordingly.
04
Analysis and valuation
Ensure rigorous monitoring of the pilot project to assess its impact and identify areas for improvement. Implement strategic communication actions (2 Degrees' responsibility) to promote the project and its progress. Accurately quantify the value proposition based on tangible data. Present the partner with the concrete results of the pilot and demonstrate the added value of the solution.

Answers to your questions
What kind of support is offered through innovation programs?
2 Degrés' innovation programs offer support tailored to the realization of pilot projects in collaboration with industrial partners. As the main objective of the program is to structure, deploy and validate a pilot project, support is geared to the concrete needs associated with this approach.
Participating companies benefit from support from the 2 Degrés team throughout the program, as well as access to specialized experts who can provide support on various technical, strategic or operational issues linked to the pilot project.
Depending on the program and the partner involved, entrepreneurs may also receive direct support from the industrial partner, notably to facilitate integration of the solution, gain a better understanding of the realities in the field, and maximize the project's chances of success. The nature and intensity of this support may vary according to the needs of the project, the context and the partner's objectives.
How long does an innovation program last?
The duration of 2 Degrés innovation programs varies between 3 and 12 months, depending on the nature and complexity of the pilot project to be deployed with the industrial partner. Each project evolves at its own pace, depending on technical needs, validation requirements and the partner's operating context.
How much does the innovation program cost? How is the pilot project financed?
The 2 Degrees innovation programs are offered at no cost to participating companies. Program participation is financed by the industrial partners involved in each program.
Depending on the project and the terms established with the partner, it may be possible to access funding or grants to support the completion of their pilot project. These contributions vary from program to program, and are determined according to project needs and partner objectives.
Why does the duration of the innovation program vary?
The duration of innovation programs varies according to the nature of the project. The program begins with a joint exploration and preparation phase, lasting around 3 months, during which the company and partner work to structure and validate a pilot project proposal. If the project is deemed feasible and relevant, it then moves on to the planning, deployment and results analysis phases.
In some cases, the exploratory phase reveals that the pilot project is more complex to implement, or less suited to the target context. Even without full deployment, this stage remains very useful for companies, as it enables them to validate hypotheses, gain a better understanding of their market and guide their further development.
Depending on the scope of the pilot project and the needs of the partner, the total duration of the program can therefore vary between 3 and 12 months.
