Our innovation program mobilizes the Port of Québec to stimulate innovation and provide an environment conducive to the creation of concrete solutions tailored to the needs of the port market.
We have no current calls for innovation with the Port of Québec. However, we are always on the lookout for innovative projects that can meet the challenges facing the Port of Québec, by reducing its environmental impact and improving practices in the water, energy transition and residual materials sectors. Target sectors
Targeted innovations
We support projects in three major cleantech niches: water, energy transition and residual materials. For this call for projects, we are looking for innovative solutions to the Port of Quebec's environmental challenges (non-exhaustive list):
- Upgrading plastic canvas used to protect cargoes
- Algae and invasive species
- Dredging sediment / contaminated soil
- Measuring water quality
Startups with impact projects in the water, energy transition and residual materials sectors and responding to a port issue are strongly invited to apply, even if they do not meet the targeted challenges mentioned above.

What does it involve?
Joining our innovation program with the Port of Québec means access to :
- the 2 Degrés network of experts
- the Port of Québec's network of experts and professionals
- infrastructures and specialized equipment to accelerate the development of your technology
- networking sessions with several companies in the cleantech ecosystem
- events dedicated to entrepreneurs

Innovation program costs
Thanks to the support of the Port of Quebec, the accompanying costs are fully covered.
Financial support of up to $50,000!
Financial support of up to $50,000 may be offered as part of this program with the Port of Québec.
Startups selected to deploy a pilot project, after three months of support and discussions with the partner, will be eligible for this funding.
This program lasts from 3 to 12 months, depending on your needs and the completion of a pilot project.

The support for this innovation program is coordinated by the projects and partnerships team.
You can benefit from two hours of specialized support per month, offered by one or more of our coaches, covering general themes and product design.
Meetings with the industrial partner will be organized according to your needs.
